Union public service commission has notified for the recruitment of Assistant Engineers Grade I and Junior Analyst (Technical) vacancies. Fifteen vacancies are available. Last date for online submission of application is 30th March 2017.

Name of the department: Geological Survey of India
1. Name of the post: Assistant Engineer Grade I - 10 posts (General-7, SC-1, ST-1, OBC-1)
Educational Qualification
1. Bachelor of Engineering or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) or Engineering Degree in Mining or Mechanical or Drilling from a recognized University.
Salary Scale: Rs. 9,300 - Rs 34,800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,800.
Age: 30 years
2. Name of the post: Junior Analyst (Technical) - 5 posts (General-3, OBC-2)
Educational Qualification
1. Master's Degree in Science or
Mathematics or Statistics or Degree in Engineering or Technology of a recognized University or equivalent*. (*Since the Department does not have the list of equivalent subjects (qualifications), same may be treated as NIL).
Work Experience: Two years' experience of scrutiny and analysis of proposals or programmes related to development of Science and Technology and monitoring their implementation from Central or State Government organisations and Research and Development organizations in Public and Private Sectors.
Age: 30 years
Salary Scale :Rs.9,300 - Rs 34,800/- ( PB-2) + Rs. 4,600/- (Grade Pay).
