Indian Airforce Headquarters maintenance command unit invites applications for the post of Group C vacancies. 154 vacancies are available in various units. Last date for the receipt of applications is 17th April 2017.

Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification. Work experience not less than one year is desirable.
2. Multi-Tasking Staff : 64 Posts
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification. Work experience as watchman, Lascar, Gestener Operator or Mali with not less than one year is desirable.
3. Safaiwala/ Safaiwali: 21 Posts
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification.
4. Mess Staff: 7 Posts
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification. Experience as waiter or washer for not less than one year.
5. Painter: 3 Posts
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification, ITI Qualification in relevant trade. Ex-servicemen with experience in relevant trade can also apply.
6. Store Keeper: 25 Posts
Educational Qualification
12th pass or its equivalent qualification. Experience in store and accounting works in public sectors or private sectors is desirable.
7. Carpenter: 6 Posts
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification, ITI Qualification in relevant trade. Ex-servicemen with experience in relevant trade can also apply.
8. Lower Division Clerk: 11 Posts
Educational Qualification
12th pass or its equivalent qualification. A typing speed of 35 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Hindi using computer.
Skill test on computer will be conducted for the candidates.
9. Coppersmith & Sheet Metal Worker: 1 Post
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification, ITI Qualification in Coppersmith & sheet metal worker trade, one year prior experience. Ex-servicemen with experience in the same trade can also apply.
10. Cook: 3 Posts
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification. Six months prior experience.
11. Tailor: 1 Post
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification, ITI Qualification in relevant trade. Ex-servicemen with experience in relevant trade can also apply.
12. Leather worker: 1 Post
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification, ITI Qualification in relevant trade. Ex-servicemen with experience in relevant trade can also apply.
13. Fireman: 4 Posts
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification. Should have attained Training in Fire Fighting. Should know handling fire fighting equipments.
Physical Requirements
Height: 165 cm (For ST: 162.5 cm)
Weight: Not below 50 kg
Chest width: 81.5 cm (Normal), 85 cm (on expansion)
There will be physical test for the candidates.
14. Labourer on Ammunition Duty: 4 Posts
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification.
15. Ward Sahayika: 1 Post
Educational Qualification
10th pass or its equivalent qualification. Work experience as Aayah not less than one year.
Age Limit: Age of candidates should be between 18 and 27 years for Fireman Posts and between 18 and 25 years for all other Posts. Age relaxation for reserved category candidates is applicable as per rules.
Salary Scale: Rs 5200 - Rs 20200/- with a grade pay of Rs 1800 or Rs 1900
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written test, Skill/ Practical/ Physical Test. Questions for written test will be from the topics General intelligence and reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. Exam can be written in English or in Hindi.
Application fee: There will be no application fee.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates may send their application in prescribed format with one self attested photograph pasted on the application along with self attested photocopies of certificates to prove date of birth, educational qualification, work experience, caste etc along with a self addressed envelope affixed with postal stamp worth Rs. 5/- and any other documents supporting their candidature in an envelope which should be super scribed with “Application for the Post of ———- and Category —————” through ordinary post to the Air Force Stations/ Units, Relevant Address (Refer the official Notification) within 17th April 2017.
